2012 Resource Teachers Literacy Professional Practice Manual

This document is intended to provide Resource Teachers Literacy, their Management Committees and Host Principals with clear practice guidelines to increase effectiveness and access to the RTLit service. The document describes parameters for RTLit work and guides professional and deliberate decision-making about how to support students with the highest literacy needs - and the teachers/schools of these students. The document does not replace the existing Procedures and Guidelines, but rather is designed to supplement these by being responsive to the evidence from RTLit data.

Summary of feedback from consultation from the Resource Teachers of Literacy (RTLit) 2009 Annual Report and DRAFT Professional Practice Manual (PPM). Thirty submissions were received from Management Committees, Host Principals and Resource Teachers Literacy (RTLit).
