Ready to Read is the core instructional reading series for students in years 1–3. It’s a series of engaging, levelled reading material that supports teachers in developing students’ literacy knowledge, processes, and strategies to meet the expectations described in the Literacy Learning Progressions and the National Standards.
The Junior Journal is an instructional reading series for students in year 3 working at levels 1–2 of The New Zealand Curriculum. The Junior Journal is designed to be used alongside Ready to Read texts at the upper fluency levels and bridges students’ reading from individual instructional books to the miscellany format of the School Journal.
The School Journal is an instructional series designed to provide opportunities for teachers to build students’ skills, knowledge, and strategies to meet the reading and writing demands of the curriculum. The series is for students in years 4–8 and is published in four parts.
The School Journal Story Library is a targeted series for students in years 7–8 who are reading 1–2 years behind their expected level of achievement.
